Founded in 1970, EfstonScience is Canada’s Science & Astronomy SuperStore. Located at 3350 Dufferin Street, Toronto, Canada, across from Yorkdale Mall, the uniquely designed passive solar building has 9,000 square feet of retail, office and warehouse space, and with the huge telescope on the roof, the SuperStore has become a Toronto landmark.

Products and Services

EfstonScience markets and distributes products across Canada and the U.S. through direct mail catalogs, the internet, and the retail store. Carrying over 5,000 products, EfstonScience has a vast selection of items that are suitable for consumers, institutional, and industrial customers.

Astronomical & Observing Equipment: Telescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, telescope accessories, tripods, etc. from manufacturers such as Celestron, Meade, Televue, Orion and other major brands. EfstonScience also distributes its own brand of telescopes called “NewStar.” EfstonScience boasts the largest hands-on display of telescopes in North America.

Scientific Products: Microscopes, lab ware, glassware, optical items such as lenses and test benches, lasers, night vision scopes, parabolic microphones, anatomical charts and models, health and bio-medical aids, weather instruments and other unique hard-to-find items.

Smart Science Fun Products: Experiment kits, construction toys, educational and creativity toys, games and kits, books, chemistry sets, physics kits, electronics kits, science fair supplies, magnets, solar, globes, cool flying toys, and many more products for curious minds of kids of all ages.

Tools & Tool Kits: Specializing in high-quality hand and power tools, industry specific tool kits and test equipment for testing, installation, quality control, assembly, and repair and field service of electronic equipment.

Renewable Energy Products: EfstonScience sells and installs complete Solar Power, Wind Power and Hybrid Energy systems that are eligible for Ontario’s new MicroFIT & FIT subsidies. The experienced team offers comprehensive turnkey service that covers everything from system design, permits and applications to installation, monitoring and support.

eSolar Renewable Energy Resource Centre: EfstonScience has dedicated an entire floor of the SuperStore to renewable energy products and services. At the EfstonScience SuperStore at 3350 Dufferin St., across from Yorkdale Mall, there is a unique hands-on showroom featuring a wide selection of solar panels, inverters and racking systems. There’s a wide selection of green products such as reference books, energy-saving LED bulbs, weather stations and power consumption meters; for the kids there’s solar, wind and hydrogen fuel cell experiment kits, solar cells, and more.

Free Cosmic Connections Observing Sessions: Hands-on astronomy for anyone interested in space. No telescope or experience required! This is a great chance to try out many types of telescopes, explore the skies with the experts, and even make some new friends!
