EfstonScience is a privately owned Canadian corporation and Canada’s leading retailer of scientific and technical products. EfstonScience sells and installs complete Solar Power, Wind Power and Hybrid Energy systems that are eligible for Ontario’s new MicroFIT & FIT subsidies. Products and Services

Solar Power Systems: EfstonScience sells the two main types of Solar Energy Systems: Grid-Tie, where the electricity generated is shared with the existing power grid, and Off-Grid, where power is stored in batteries and is independent of the grid. EfstonScience uses only solar modules guaranteed for 25 years or more.

Wind Power Systems: The EfstonScience ePole: Hybrid Wind + Solar Off-Grid LED Streetlight is a completely self-contained, off-grid streetlight that requires no wiring or trenching. It uses solar and wind power to generate electricity; integrated batteries for storage; and bright, energy-efficient light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to replace traditional sodium vapour bulbs. The GUS Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) silently and efficiently converts wind energy into electricity.

eSolar Renewable Energy Resource Centre: A unique hands-on showroom featuring a wide selection of solar panels, inverters and racking systems. There’s a wide selection of green products such as reference books, energy-saving LED bulbs, weather stations and power consumption meters; for the kids there’s solar, wind and hydrogen fuel cell experiment kits, solar cells, and more.

MICROFIT & FIT

eSolar products allow homeowners and businesses to take advantage of The Ontario Power Authority’s (OPA) Feed-In-Tariff programs. (MicroFIT and FIT) MicroFIT is a green energy subsidy program developed by the Ontario Government with the Ontario Power Authority. The MicroFIT program is designed for projects 10 kW and under and the FIT program is designed for projects over 10 kW.
